Hey, Dash here!
Okay, so one thing that is absolutely everywhere I look at the moment is this khaki, army green colour.
Definitely not a run-of-the-mill Spring/Summer colour, it’s got a really military feel about it and was all over the recent balmain catwalk (and if balmain is doing it you know it’s got to be good!)
From playsuits to strappy wedges, high street shops like H & M and Penneys have got you covered for all your trendy army green needs.
I’m so very on board with this trend!
The colour is a bold statement when compared to the usual bright Spring/Summer colours.
Bright white t-shirts and lovely gold jewllery like lunula and torc necklaces work perfectly, focusing the style on fresh Spring contrast.
Key pieces that you can add to any outfit to jump head first into this trend of just dip your feet are…
1. The classic bomber jacker.
This jackets I’ve had as a staple on my wardrope for absolutely ages! They can be trown over anything and make a simple outfit, e.g a white tee and jeans look way more stylish, edgy and well put together.
2. Some cute high waisted shorts.
For the Spring and well into the Summer these are a great eay to show off your gorgeous legs.
The colour speaks for itself and you can really just relax with the rest of your outfit, the statement has been made. No need to tackle tricky patterns and rints just keeping it simple.
3. Strappy heels or wedges.
You’ll be super on-trend with a pair of these strappy shoes. These are perfect if you just want to add a tpuch of the new trend to your outfit but not got crazy on it.
Plus strappy criss-cross heels of any colour are very in at the moment. (Especially black.)
4. Military trench coats.
Diving head first into this style with this last look, we’ve got this gorgeous army style trench coat piece, you can pick these up on little shops everywhere alig temple bar, if you’re from dublin (like me!)
This coat is really light so it’s great for Spring weather and it can also upstyle any outfit you’ve got lying around the place.
Well, that’s it for the moment, hopefully this will have inspired you’re Spring/Summer wardrope.
