The boho look (part two) -accessories.

Hey, Dash here!

So, this is a follow on from my last post The Boho look. (Part one.) which if you missed you can click and take a glance at now.

Like I said in my last post, I really adore this style, (like really adore it.) and from the reaction to the last upload it seems like you girls really do too.

Whether you’re ready to become completely invested in this gorgeous trend or just feel like dipping your feet for a little bit, then purchasing some pretty boho accessories could be just what you need.

Accessorising with bags, shoes and jewelry can add just the right sprinkle of boho Spring Summer style to any outfit or be the finishing touches to you’re head to toe bohemian chic look.

Now that we’re immersing ourselves in a new season why not treat yourself to a new bag, sure you can never have too many, right?

When it comes to handbags think along the lines of satchels and cute shoulder bags , look out for fringing, suede, brown leather, buckles, Aztec prints and patterns and beading, sometimes even little backpacks can look really cute too.

Jewelry is big when it comes to this fresh bohemian style and layering your jewels is nearly always a must. Be confident and do it the way you think it’s best, because I know that sometimes people can be a little uncomfortable with layering too much jewellery, but really that is a big part of this style.

I think that a little bit of costume jewelry can look really pretty with this trend, things like over sized rings with colourful gem stones and drop necklaces with feathers and dream catchers.

If you’re more into your necklaces and bracelets don’t be afraid to layer them up! Bangles can be stacked sky high, the more the merrier and I’m sorry Coco but this time less really isn’t more. Beaded bracelets of all colours, metal clasps and bangles full of little pendants (like Alex and ani bracelets, they’re perfect for this trend.)

Drop necklaces are a must and pairing them with a choker and some normal length necklaces can leave you with just the right finish.

Keep an eye out for dream catcher pendants, moons, stars, suns and feathers, these are really popular and go great with the bohemian theme.

With earrings, why not go for something dangle-y? Drop earrings or feathers are perfect. Ear clasps or chains that hang from one part of the ear to another or multiple studs along the ear are very effective in giving a layered look.

Boho jewellery is all about the statement, just layer it all on and see how it looks.

Adding a chunky belt to anything, be it a dress, skirt or some shorts, justs seems to give something more to an outfit and tie it all together. I’m thinking a chunky brown belt with a large buckle. (Really cute and looks great.)

Hats… Hats.. hats.. I love  a good hat but where to start?.

Hats scream Summer time, beach fun and they suit this trend so well! Think a long the lines of floppy straw beach hats, boho panamas, fedoras with little Aztec patterned ribbon decorating them, cowboy hats, pretty much anything with a wide brim. Keep blacks, browns, whites and straw in mind while hat shopping for you bohemian chic outfit.

Every good outfit needs an even better pair of shoes and this style is definitely no exception. Shoes that spring to mind when I think boho, are little brown ankle boots, colourful beaded sandals, little sandals with fringing and lovely knee high gladiator sandals. Think of a mixture between a cowgirl, Aztec princess and a hippy and you’ve basically got boho foot wear in a nutshell.

I hope you enjoyed my little guide to boho chic accessories, watch this space for the next upload in this mini series!

Talk soon!

Dash x

The purse on the top right is pretty cool and interesting! I have a real suede brown small purse with fringes, I love it! I know I said this, but I really love the boho style too. I think it’s by far my favorite! I love the bracelets too! 🙂

Yeah, I love real suede and leather and the whole fringe thing! The purse I have is a little small, but it’s still great. Ooh, I know that tomorrow for my photo challenge, I have to take a picture of a purse. Maybe I’ll take a picture of that one so you can see it! 🙂
