Beauty must haves with Safiyya and Dash

Hey, Dash here!

Long time no chat? Things have been a bit busy this week but I’m back now.

Today I’m doing a beauty must have post in collaboration with the lovely Saiffa Bello. She such a great person to chat to and her blog is just amazing! You should definitely check here out, (her blog!)

So without further adieu…

Here’s out must haves.

(My post.)

Like everyone, over time I pick up beauty products and cleansers that I end up falling in love with and then I’ll keep returning to them… These are just some of my recent loves.

1. Skin care wonders…

Now, what would a work of art be without a nice, smooth and clean canvas to paint it on? Well, it’s the same when it comes your skin.

Skin care is important to me and beautiful skin is always on trend!

Gernier are a brand I’ve only just recently started using and I’ve completely fallen head over heels for then! Their micellar cleansing water is just m a great cleanser. It takes off even the toughest makeup (even waterproof liquidliner.) and you don’t even have to scrub or wash it off after, just gently dab and you’ll be amazed at how easy it slides off.

Another Gernier product I adore has to be their intensive seven days moisturiser. I don’t always wear foundation, it’s not a big thing for me but I’ll never go without my moisturiser!
This hydrating lotion is so lovely,  it’s not really watery and dries into your skin pretty quickly. It also includes aloe vera and L-Bifidus, which are great for you. I honestly can’t stress enough how important moisturiser is, especially when we’re in the chillier months of the year.

Now, onto the lip care!

My must have lip balm for this month just has to be the nivea pearly white chap stick. It’s just such a gorgeous baby pink colour and leaves a shine on your lips. It protects and repairs from the cold weather and over all looks like a cute light coloured lip stick, perfect for the natural look (which is all in this coming season.)

2. Gorgeous scents…

My favourite perfume of the moment, is actually one, I’ve had for a long while now. It’s the lacoste, touch of pink. It smells sort of flowery and girly and just over all a bit like spring. It’s a really fresh scent that I’m wearing a lot lately in the hopes of spring rolling around the corner just that little bit faster.

3. Smoothly does it! (hair care.)

VO5 is always amazing with their hair products and they’re reasonably cheap too! This mousse is great and can make gorgeous beachy waves. Yes, I want beach weather, but the closet I can’t get right now is my hair. Anyway, put this stuff in after you wash you’re hair, scrunch your hair up a little and dry it a bit, then you’ll end up with some super cute waves.

And last but not least, my so couture liquidliner from L’Oréal.It’s from the fatale feline range and it is just beautiful! It’s like a felt tip pen but it’s just so easy to use and even people like me who mess my eyeliner up ALL the time can use this one, I’m not sure what it is about the pen but it just works really well, it’s literally fool proof!
It’s definitely a gift from the makeup gods!

(Safiyya’s post.)

I know the struggle of finding the products that work perfectly and react well with your skin because some people have extremely sensitive skin, so it’s very difficult to find beauty products that work for you. It can take a while but you will get them. I finally found the ones that work great with my skin and I’ve stuck with them ever since.

1. Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub

<a href="“><img title="images-63.jpeg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="” />

This is specially formulated to give you clear, problem-free skin. It comes in a typical Himalaya Herbals opaque tube with a green flip top. The packaging is amazing because it comes out easily on pressing the tube. The scrub is white in colour and has green and orange coloured minute beads. The beads does the job of exfoliating the skin effectively.

How I Use it: First, I moisten my face. Then apply a tiny blob on hands before spreading it evenly on my skin. After that, i massage VERY gently then leave it on for about 2-3 minutes before washing my face with water. I use it twice daily, in the morning and at night before going to bed.

Results: My skin felt perfectly cleansed and refreshed. The scrub also made my skin very smooth.

2. Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Face Wash

<a href="“><img title="IMG_0422.jpeg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="” />

It is a soap free, daily use face wash that cleanses and clarifies your skin of impurities, giving you a clear, radiant and even complexion

How I Use It: I usually apply my face wash after i have applied my scrub. So after washing off the scrub, I then apply the face wash all over my face spreading it gently and evenly avoiding the delicate eye area. I wash it off before using a towel to dry my face. Like the scrub, I use it twice daily, in the morning and before going to bed.

Results: It cleanses my skin leaving my complexion clear and even.

3. Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Face Moisturising Lotion

<a href="“><img title="images-61.jpeg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="” />

It is a light and non-greasy formula that absorbs quickly to give you complete nourishment and daily moisture your skin needs.

How I Use it: After drying my wet skin. I apply the moisturizer on my hand and then apply it all over my face and neck, massaging gently.

Results: moisturize and nourish my skin making it soft and smooth.

Well, that’s it for now!

Talk soon!
