Wonderful woolies!

Hey guys! So yesterday I went shopping and had to literally drag myself away from all the winter woolies. I just love cozy clothes and to me wooly jumpers and cardigans are the coziest. So you can only guess how excited I was when shopping to be greeted by so many super cute jumpers and cardigans. Now, everybody loves some good knit wear but some people seem to think there’s only one way to wear them, which is totally wrong! I’m a firm believer in there being loads of different ways to wear the same type of thing.

Don’t just copy the manniquin in the store, get creative and really think about the way you wear your clothes because it’s not all about what you wear but how you wear it.

When it comes to jumpers and cardigans there really isn’t just one type, personally I prefer big chunky knit, but you can also get really thin fitted ones.

1. ♥ The oversized… ♥

A lot of the time when jumpers or cardigans come to mind people mainly think along the lines of the fitted preppy type cardies and jumpers, which in fairness don’t nessisarily suit everyone. So I tend to buy oversized ones, which are really cute, they keep you warm and they usually come in colours that go with nearly anything, eg burgundy, white, cream, black dark green and navy. (All really wearable winter colours.) The oversized usually reach mid-thigh to the knee and work really well with mini skirts, shorts and jeans. They really can be thrown over even a simple outfit and make it look just a little more thought out and personal.

(Note: if you’re slightly broader, it can be best to not go too oversized as it can give you an unflattering silhouette.)

2. ♥ The tucking… ♥

If you’re a fan of the oversized but don’t want to completely cover up your awesome outfit tucking can be a great way to wear it. You still get that oversized look but I doesn’t take away from the rest of what your wearing. this works especially well with skirts and shorts!

3.♥ Pretty in preppy! ♥

If you ever wake up feeling really girly (I don’t know, I get that feeling sometimes.) then this last style might be just up your street. This last look contrasts greatly to the the first look as it’s quiet clear cut and veers away from the sloppy style. It’s still a great autumn/winter look though, full of collared shirts underneath, cute jewllery and lots of pairs of tights.

4. ♥Buttoned up, buttoned down♥

*Cardigans*

When it comes to cardies buttoning it or leaving it open and change your outfit more than you’d inically think.

Oversized cardies… buttoning up is usually a big no, no as they are really ment to be styled messily but if you’re tucking it in closing one or two buttons can look sweet.

Thinner cardigans… buttoning them can make them look really cute and preppy especially when teamed with a buttoned up shirt and some necklaces.
